April Eskelson:

Hi, I’m April Eskelson, and I’m the director of training at Jacaruso Enterprises. If you’re responsible for the sales effort at your hotel, you have found that sales has changed dramatically over the past few months. You may be working with industries that you are unfamiliar with, you’re prospecting in new ways, and even executing sales calls differently. We’re here to help you, and we’re excited to share with you Accelerate, our new eLearning platform where we’re focusing on the new Sales Essentials within industries that we have found business in today.

April Eskelson:

The new Sales Essentials consists of 12 different industries where we have found business, from communications to construction, energy, healthcare, all the way to transportation. Now, whether you’re familiar with these industries or working with them for the first time, we promise you will find tips and tricks that will provide an impact today.

April Eskelson:

Let’s take a closer look at what you’ll gain access to within each of our sector-specific trainings. We’ll start with transportation. The new Sales Essentials is anything but basic. We start with clear course objectives where we provide you with an understanding of the sector and any sub-sectors; we review any key trends or information that will be impactful for your success; we uncover ways to prospect for opportunities, including who the travelers and bookers are; and ways to incorporate your buying motives into the sales conversation. We introduce you to one of our regional directors of sales that has found success within the segment. And then we dive deep into the industry itself.

April Eskelson:

Let me show you an example of how this training will help make an impact at your hotel. When thinking of transportation, maybe you have only considered doing business within one of the sectors, whether it be aviation or highway or motor carrier. We encourage your team to think differently. So, let’s go back to aviation for just a second. Maybe you’ve worked with airline contracts in the past, but have you ever considered drone testing sites? We provide links out to the sites within the United States. If your state is listed as a drone testing site, when you click on the link, you will find information about the testing site, along with a key point of contact, phone number, and email address. Throughout the training we offer opportunities like this within each sector or sub-sector.

April Eskelson:

Throughout the training we offer ways for your team to make an impact quickly. The learning is accessed through many different styles of learning. One of them, including audio. Let me give you an example: by clicking on the image on the screen, you can zoom in on the test pilot locations where digital identity is showing up at airports across the country. Within these test sites are opportunities for business, whether it be during the planning, implementation, or maintenance phases. We encourage you to use the information to look for opportunities in different ways.

April Eskelson:

If you’re looking for prospecting opportunities, our training will keep your team prospecting for days. Let me show you a few examples of what you will gain access to. Let’s say you’re looking for the top 50 logistic companies. We provide you with direct links out to the site that provides those companies and their listings. But, if you click in and dive in deeper, not only will you find their location, you’ll find employee trends, revenue trends, rankings, the sectors that they work with, even key customers.

April Eskelson:

Let me give you another example. If you were looking for warehousing firms, contract carriers, air freight forwarders, we’ve got you covered. Even supply chain partners. We also provide quick tips of how to use the information. Let’s say that you’re looking for contractors or industry partners. We provide information where, when you click on the link, choose your state and then click on projects, for example, you’ll find a list of opportunities, construction contacts that may be productive for you in your area.

April Eskelson:

We also know that staying up to date with the industry is key. There are many opportunities for subscriptions, blogs, websites to follow, but we’ve gone ahead and picked a few that we found success with and provided information and ways to subscribe to their service. We found in the business it’s important to speak to the buying motives of the individual booker or traveler. We provide you with easy to implement actions and ways to promote throughout the training. Whether it’s safety, housekeeping, food, and beverage, or quiet spaces. We provide you with the tools you need to make an impact at the property level, today. Lastly, our vault resources, every training comes with a front desk lead sheet, an infiltration worksheet, and a flyer to help you promote the business.

April Eskelson:

Finding business can be challenging in today’s marketplace, but it’s not impossible. Let us help you.
